What is genAG?

genAG is a unique career exploration program for high school students. In groups, students will compete in provincial marketing competitions for a chance to win prizes and be profiled on the AITC Canada website and social media!

How does it work?

Lightbulb

Student groups will develop and implement a creative marketing idea that promotes ag-sector careers to students in their school.

Lightbulb

Groups will create and submit their genAG marketing presentations that showcase the evolution of their marketing ideas, and how these ideas came to be.

Lightbulb

The top 3 groups in each province will advance to the Provincial Final.

"I have learned just how connected agriculture is to our everyday lives. The production of food/careers connected to it controls our very lives."

genAG Student 2018

"I learned more about how technology plays a huge part in agriculture, and that there will definitely be more technology in the years to come."

genAG Student 2018

"genAG is an excellent program that brought our students together to work as teams to educate their peers about agriculture. They were excited to present their ideas and the information they had gained through their research. It was a very valuable learning experience for our whole school!"
